JUNO and SOCAN awards

Okay, maybe the guys got less luck for the Junos, but their smiles came back 2 days ago! The New Cities were nominated for the popular rock/pop song most played on Canadian radio in 2009 with Dead End Countdown at the SOCAN awards and guess what?? You got it right, they won! :D So proud of our guys right now ! :) Here's a picture of them with Greg Nori and Matthew Brann with their prices :

The picture was also followed with a little text.

"This band is being awarded a Pop/Rock Music Award for their very first single. In fact, these guys have had quite the whirlwind career in a short time. Their unique blend of synth-pop, punk and rock 'n' roll helped propel their first single "Dead End Countdown." up the charts, and on the strength of their debut album, Lost in City Lights, they were nominated for a Juno for new group of the year. We’re really excited to see what comes next for The New Cities (Christian Bergeron, Matthew Brann, David Brown, Nicolas Denis, Francis Fugère, Philippe Lachance and Julien Martre), who co-wrote their winning song with producer Greig Nori."
